Job Summary:
The OCONUS EM-CSA Systems Engineering Expert oversees a new Control Actuation System (CAS) product development that will be designed, analyzed, tested, fabricated and assembled by a subcontractor to Raytheon in Spain. Individual will guide the supplier team responsible for requirements verification and validation, physical design, system performance and function, safety and environmental compliance.
This is a 2 year international assignment with additional compensation emoluments.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Guide, review, and participating in Raytheon’s acceptance/rejection of supplier technical reviews; including: peer reviews, engineering review board (ERB), configuration control board (CCB), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Design Verification Test (DVT) and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
Manage the technical dialog between the subcontractor and the Raytheon product line to ensure subject matter expert (SME) review (Andover and Tucson) and disposition of critical design decisions including electrical and mechanical interfaces and critical analyses (tolerance analysis, structural analysis, thermal analysis, performance modeling, etc.).
Identify, communicate and elevating risk and opportunity to both Supplier and Raytheon leadership teams.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience in systems or mechanical design of servo controls
Experience with development of Control Actuation System (CAS) requirements, requirements verification and validation, system performance and function, safety and environmental compliance
Experience with feedback control systems, including sizing, testing and integration, design-for-manufacturing, kinematic and dynamic simulation and analysis
Experience with ITAR regulations and working with licensing agreements
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with missile systems, controls, and electronics
Experience with manufacturing systems, processes, and acceptance
Reliability or failure analysis experience
Experience with external supplier collaboration (incl. Export/Import considerations)
Ability to work in a team environment and lead small teams to success with technical execution, schedule, and budget.
Solid understanding of configuration management practices
Proven ability to lead technical solutions to complex user requirements.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Spanish speaking ability
Existing secret clearance

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
