System Engineer – Drive Unit Integration

We want to get onboard a System Engineer – Drive Unit Integration
Your new role – challenging and future-oriented.
In your new role, you will not only drive the technical progress of our rail vehicles, but you will also help ensure that passengers can enjoy an incomparable driving experience and the highest level of comfort.
•You will be responsible for the mechanical integration of the Drive Unit in the bogie, playing a decisive role in elevating the ride comfort of our rail vehicles to a new level.•You will clarify mechanical interfaces, define specifications, and evaluate the technical design of the Drive Unit (motor, gearbox, clutch).•You will be involved in the development process of the Drive Unit, from concept to the start of passenger operation. Furthermore, you will manage the quality gates with our internal Drive Unit partners, ensuring that all requirements for the Drive Unit are fulfilled.•Additionally, you will calculate the power loss of the gearbox to optimize the efficiency of the Drive Unit together with our internal Drive Unit partners.•You will actively incorporate functional and development principles into the design process, working closely with other trades as well as internal and external interface partners.•You will carefully coordinate all system solutions that you develop with an experienced system specialist who has overall responsibility for the topic.
Your Qualifications – Solid and appropriate.
•You have a master's degree/diploma in mechanical engineering or another engineering specialization.•You have already gained experience in the realization of specifications for system solutions in your previous job, ideally in the field of rail vehicles.•You have basic knowledge of Creo, PDMLink and SAP. Other equivalent tools experience will be evaluated. Experience with simulation tools is a plus.•You have very good communication and negotiation skills and can collaborate with all the stakeholders. Excellent team player. •You have very good written and spoken English or German skills, additional language skills are an advantage.
