Job Summary :
As the Marketplace Partner Development Manager, you will play a vital role in the development and onboarding of partner vendors as well as managing the existing relationships.
Working closely with the marketplace merchandiser, you will optimize the products and solutions offered for sale in the marketplace.
You will be able to work at a fast pace and have excellent communication skills, collaborating across a wide team. You will be confident at presenting marketplace data to vendor partners.
This is a remote role based in the US.
Responsibilities :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendor partners, customers and stakeholders of Universal Robots by promoting the virtues of the marketplace.
- Be the vendor advocate ensuring that they become successfull on the UR Marketplace.
- Develop and close business opportunities with partner vendors and customers. Work with marketplace data analyst to find gaps in the portfolio and interact with the seller network and ecosystem management.
- Collaborate with various teams, including marketing, partner vendor network and ecosystem management, to ensure the availability and relevance of products offered.
- Work with internal stakeholders and vendor partners to devise long-term development strategies for product categories.
Partner (Vendor) development :
- Promote the marketplace through the identification of new partner vendors and drive through the onboarding process. Agree sales volume expectations and report back results on an agreed cadence.
- Work with the merchandiser and data analyst to evaluate product gaps and communicate with partner vendors.
- Implement cross-selling and upselling techniques to increase average order value and enhance the customer journey.
- New products, ensuring that product information (attributes are collected and accurate) before publication.
- Hold business reviews with partners, ensure that stakeholders are digesting the marketplace analytics and are active in providing updates and enhanced solutions for universal robots end customers.
- Manage contractual elements of vendor partner relationship and highlight concerns. Prepare exit strategies accordingly.
Identify new avenues for business growth and expansion within the target acheivael enabled by the marketplace.
- Conduct competitive analysis and stay updated on industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and market differentiation.
- Ensure that the onboarding tracker and pipeline management is updated.
- Be the vendor advocate for UR offerings digital self-services, simple processes, agreement structures etc.
Collaboration and Communication :
- Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely product updates, stock availability, and resolve any related issues.
- Stay up to date with product knowledge, industry best practices, and emerging trends in e-commerce merchandising and cobot automation.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, marketing, and customer support, to ensure seamless communication and alignment of business goals.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition of our industrial robot solutions to various stakeholders.
- Pricing updates and contracts, ensuring that these are updated as required.
- Ensure that vendor partners manage customer requests as requested.
- Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of products and solutions.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of industrial automation (ideally within the cobot space).Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic business plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
