About the role :

Gartner is looking for a well-rounded Project Manager who can provide project management support within the reliability and conference readiness teams that help drive Gartner’s conferences.

Technologies include internal applications, external vendor applications, and multiple integrations with internal technology teams.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has worked in an agile / scrum environment, has worked closely with business partners managing expectations and has demonstrable experience working with development teams on deliveries.

What you’ll do :

Be part of our team as we evolve our agile / scrum processes ensuring effective implementation with product owners and development teams.

Manage day to day activities for agile teams including sprint management, sprint metrics and backlog management.

Proactively facilitate discussions that lead to the resolution of project issues and development impediments.

Work closely with program management / release train engineers to manage effort delivery status, risks and issues.

Manage and coordinate all aspects of release management, including but not limited to, release planning, impact assessment, change management, and release communication.

Coordinate and manage cross IT efforts with partner technology Project Managers and agile teams.

Champion and facilitate adoption of agile standards, tools, and best practices.

Utilize team feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity and work with the team to continuously improve.

Communicate with leaders across the organization to ensure transparency into delivery progress, challenges, and risks.

Coach the team to improve collaboration and self-management, promoting healthy interactions both within the team and with external product owners.

What you’ll need :

2 to 4 years of experience working in an agile scrum environment as a project Manager / scrum master. The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must Have :

Working knowledge and understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology and incremental delivery.

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various product owners verbally and in writing.

Self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products.

Strong people and project management skills.

Coaching skills and ability to motivate teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Who you are

4-year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, or relational functional field) and / or equivalent combination of education or work experience.

Excellent communication skills.

Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced agile-scrum environment.

Owns success Takes responsibility for the successful delivery of the solutions.

Strong desire to improve upon their skills in tools and technologies.
