As a SCM Specialist for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shinagawa, Japan, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance and compliance of Procurement & Logistics (PL) practicing approved activities. The local legal entity of this position is ABB K.K.

This position reports to

JP CS Manager

Your responsibilities

• Supporting to designs and implements plans for local sourcing to reach the business targets with RA local automotive BL and CS. Supports regional and global sourcing initiatives as required
• Applying and implementing PL standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability.
• Creating and updating reports, as required, following the ABB standards
• Executing and implementing new directions within the area of responsibility
• Applying standards on health, safety, environment and business ethics within operational work, contract management and negotiations.
• Delivering and participating in training programs as required for compliance and professional development
• Executing effective and transparent communication internally, externally and between different units and centers
• Standardizing processes and implementing routines as per Group directives/instructions

Your background

• Bachelor’s or master’s Degree
• Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience in Procurement and sourcing or sales in a manufacturing / engineering company
• Must be result orientation, strategic orientation
• Must have good teamwork and collaboration
• JLPT N1 level in Japanese and basic level English
