Senior Product Management Associate Maternity Cover (15 months FTC)

Purpose

The role of the Senior Product Management Associate is to contribute to and enable the development, go-to-market, commercialization and continuous improvement of the products within their remit, while overseeing adherence to Agile governance and ways of working and ensuring adequate levels of reporting and senior leadership oversight on ongoing initiatives.

The Associate works under the guidance of the Tutoring Product Manager, helping them bring new products to market, support existing products through training and market expansion, and project manage the end-to-end delivery of new features / initiatives to meet customer needs to time, budget and as per defined scope.

In this role, the individual will work in an integrated manner as part of an Agile (Scrum) team to enable the end-to-end delivery of Language Tutoring capabilities across various customer segments ( e.

g. Institutional, Corporate, Test Prep, Professional Development and other services) and ensure consistency in the overall customer journey.

The role features a hybrid between Agile Product Management and project management responsibilities within a global cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

Agile Governance / Project Management :

  • Provide Agile project governance and oversight : plan, advise and ensure Agile Ways of Working (WoW) adherence within the Tutoring team, sharing best practices, tools and experiences to promote a culture of positivity and productivity.
  • Create and manage project schedules in Smartsheet and communicate schedule deadlines to internal and external groups.
  • Manage and provide visibility of risks, issues and dependencies and escalate as necessary.
  • Coordinate Tutoring reporting activities; prepare and present internal and external reports on projects status, risks, and other program-related issues as required.
  • End-to-end budget oversight (i.e. raise purchase orders, good receipts, manage invoicing queries, monitor and report on budget spend) and financial reviews accountability.
  • Coordinate input on Business Case (BC) and Annual Operation Plan (AOP) cycles as required.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding, management and communication activities.
  • Partner with CISO, DPO, Legal, Safeguarding and any other cross functional teams to prepare and review vendors' MSAs, SOWs, WOs and any other documentation required to ensure vendor onboarding compliance.
  • Scrum Master accountability : Lead cross-functional scrum team meetings and provide written updates as required; ensure consistent management of JIRA Board to support sprint cycles and provide visibility on sprint priorities and end-to-end delivery status.
  • Manage subscriptions to tools & systems to support Tutoring activities (i.e. Mixpanel, Survey Sparrow, Calendly)

Product Management

  • Coordinate the development and design go-to-market plans, presentation of plans to stakeholders and implementation of plans in collaboration with the sales, marketing and support teams, with a focus on integrated solution sales.
  • Coordinate the development of sales enablement tools and internal training materials. Drive product literacy by conducting training for global sales teams and present at internal and external meetings.
  • Partner with the Tutoring Product Manager and key stakeholders to bring new products and capabilities to market, leading specific initiatives and projects as identified.

Drive analysis and requirements for products to support specific customer and learner needs.

  • Coordinate the delivery of market, competitive and product research and customer feedback programs as required. Collate customer insight to make it actionable to support decision making.
  • Be a product champion and provide insight to inform strategy and product development.
  • Coordinate communication and translation of enhancements, issues and fixes between development teams, product, sales and marketing.
  • Partner with operations and support to develop requirements for customer implementation and support. Manage customer escalation and complex issues that the Ops / support teams can’t address.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in Product Management, business development or customer management preferred
  • Experience in education, learning, or assessment field preferred
  • Experience in working with digital products and platforms required, ideally combined with experience in Agile Product Management
  • Strong customer empathy and ability to translate customer insights into winning products
  • Persuasive negotiator and influencer
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, competing priorities and a wide variety of cultures and market differences and is able to represent the company's interests externally
  • Enthusiastic, passionate and thrives on thinking outside of the box to create new best-in-class experiences
  • Passion for education and learning
  • Possesses a global outlook and approach
  • Operates as a self-aware, effective team player
  • Experience of working and thriving in a global matrix organization
  • Financial and commercial acumen
  • PSM (Professional Scrum Master) or any other Agile certification a plus
  • Experience with tools like SmartSheet and JIRA preferred
