Linux System Administrator (m / f / d)
Permanent position, full-time - Cologne
Your tasks
- Setup and operation of centralized and decentralized Linux systems
- The operation of central identity management for school authorities
- The provision and monitoring of services agreed with customers
- The backup and restore of server data
- Creating scripts for automation in the server environment
- Participation in the on-call service
Your profile
- You have completed training as an IT specialist (or comparable) and have already gained professional experience
- You have in-depth knowledge of installing and operating Linux servers
- A good technical understanding, a pronounced service and solution orientation as well as a structured and careful way of working characterize you
- You work just as well independently as part of a team
- You have a class B driving license
- We require you to be fluent in written and spoken German
Your experience
Sound knowledge (at least in combination) in the following areas is desirable :
- Administration of Debian-based Linux distributions in the business environment (SLES, RedHat)
- Initial experience in the use of Docker, Ansible, GIT and relational databases
- Automation of recurring tasks using Bash or Python
- Monitoring and performance analysis of server systems
- Experience with OpenLDAP and Samba directory services
