Last but not least, we are recognized as a Great Place to Work®, and are accredited HappyAtWork® as well as B Corp®. As our Head of Field Operations in Spain, your responsibilities will vary throughout the year, depending on the seasonality in our destinations.

They will include but not be limited to the following. RESPONSIBILITIES OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT Team management Daily management of our team members in the Spanish destinations : regular calls, follow-ups, project management, etc.

Create work schedule Participate in bonus measurement based on set criteria Participate in recruitment and training of new team members Participate in continuous training of existing team members Ensure that our brand standards apply throughout our portfolio in Spain Suggest continuous operational improvements to Emerald Stay management Quality control Spot checks (physically and via guests calls) Ensure brand standards are maintained and processes followed in every destination Handle problems that escalate (related to properties or guests) and supervise any maintenance need (preventive and reactive maintenance) Improve guest experience based on guest reviews Cost control Standard cost control including inventory management Approve quotes Check invoices from providers Operational processes Follow season opening process Follow season closing process Place various orders Regular reporting to Emerald Stay management Other possible processes such as improving in-market upsells Relationship management With new and existing service partners (ski rental, boat rental, massages.

With new and existing providers (cleaning, maintenance...) With Property Managers Owner relations, in collaboration with our centralized team M&A In 2022, Emerald Stay began acquiring vacation rentals players to accelerate its growth.

In this context, you would be contributing to manage the integration of future acquisitions, namely : Assist in conducting interviews with team members of the acquired companies In collaboration with the management team at Emerald Stay, develop strategic integration plans to 1) roll out solutions from the Emerald Stay model to the acquired companies, and 2) address any weak areas at the acquired companies Roll out the strategic integration plans : liaise and follow up with the relevant team members at Emerald Stay and at the acquired companies, as needed : implementation of the Emerald Stay tools (PMS, CRM, accounting software and more), tech integration, training of staff, roll out of our standards and processes, team integration, website rebranding, regular follow-ups, etc.

Participate in benchmarking acquired companies to keep optimizing the Emerald Stay model Depending on the seasonality as well as your bandwidth, skills and interest, you may be involved with other aspects of our operations.

KEY INFORMATION ON THE POSITION Employment start : Spring 2024 Indefinite contract with a 3-month trial period Monday-Friday work, from 9am until 6pm;

you’ll possibly act as Manager on-call on some weekends Position based in Barcelona with regular trips to our destinations We have a flexible home office policy : with us, you'll work at the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays - the rest of the time, it's up to you ABOUT YOU We are looking for a Jack or Jill of All Trades who will thrive in a dynamically changing environment.

The must-haves : You have experience managing operations at a short-term rental company - the Holy Grail! Alternatively, you have experience managing operations at a hospitality company, preferably in a 4* or 5* boutique hotel You have successfully managed team members in the past - successfully as in : you enjoyed it and they did, too You love interacting with guests and all types of partners and can naturally establish great relationships with people;

your interpersonal and team collaboration skills are excellent You have worked at a fast-growing company before, preferably at a start-up You are process-driven and tech-savvy : you have successful experience implementing new systems and processes, and ensuring they’re adopted by everyone on the team You have very strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal You are good at managing stress and do not get easily overwhelmed You are detail-oriented, open-minded and positive You can multitask and work in an independent way You have a can-do attitude and are flexible You speak fluent English and Spanish You are ready to get your hands dirty - you enjoy being right in the middle of the action You have a valid driver's license and are comfortable driving (including on snow) The nice-to-haves : You have worked with Mews before, our amazing Property Management System You speak Catalan or any other language GOOD TO KNOW Our culture is dictated by the following values : Make Mistakes - We foster a creative environment where the best ideas win, where it is okay to make mistakes and unacceptable not to learn from them.
