We are looking for a lead responsible for our Border Management Consulting delivery.
What we need
We are looking for a lead responsible for our Border Management Consulting delivery. You will work with our Global Product Lead on BMC, the GTCC regional management and the consulting team to ensure that we win and deliver BMC projects with high quality and to the satisfaction of our clients.
You have extensive experience from government and public sector consulting engagements and maintain a large network of contacts in that space.
You know how to engage and interact with public sector clients on the management and executive level. You have good presentation skills and is comfortable in leading steering committee meetings with clients.
You have a strong sense of quality of consulting services and are well aware of and understands the importance of international standards and best practices from institutions such as WCO and WTO.
In terms of your location, we have offices in most parts of Europe. But we are also adopting a flexible model which include working remotely.
International travel will be required as part of the assignment.
Who you are
- You have experience from leading consulting engagements with public sector, where experience in customs and border administrations is a plus
- You need to have a good understanding about innovation, technologies and Information Technology.
- You have good understanding about customs management and procedures. You are familiar with AEO and Trusted Trader, Single Window, Risk Management and border management.
- Unrelenting when it comes to meeting deadlines and ensuring high quality deliverables on time.
- You know how to make people outperform themselves and be on time.
- You know how to say no and make it feel like yes .
- You are a fixer able to roll up your sleeves and sort things out. You can take on new challenges with an open mind.
- You have good people managing skills and can handle nerdy experts as well as high profiled clients as we interact with Ministries and government / IGO counterparts.
- Your English is good, you like presenting, writing and can translate complicated language to understandable insights.
- You understand the value of good packaging and know how to present facts and reports in an attractive way. Power point is a close friend and good graphic design your ambition.
- You excel in sales and have the ability to close contracts.
- And yes, it is a bonus if you have knowledge of and like customs or international supply chains, and recognise trade facilitation as a good thing.
